So, I did not get the Liberty Travel job, but that is okay. I will find something else. I am not even going to dwell on it. In fact, I am going to focus on all the positives not getting this position offers me:
-More time to write and surpass my goal of 10 chapters by the new year.
-I do not have to cancel my Europe trip
-I can help my relatives put up their Christmas trees as I had promised them.
I went to West Haven this weekend, to visit my best friend. She is a fellow creative writer and college alumni. Every time I walk into her bedroom, I have, stepped inside of a piece of micro-fiction. Her room is so orderly and clean. She could be on the cover of a Pottery Barn Teen catalog. I asked her if she would come and fix up my bedroom, but I think my room would scare her away. I will definitely have to invite her over soon though because her family has hosted me twice already. It is about time that I extend the invitation to her.
We went to the mall, and I purchased a few items (beauty/hygiene), from Ulta, that I feel are necessary for my trip to Prague. All of the following items are within limits for TSA Security carry-on restrictions:
Earth Therapeutics Sleep mask ($7.20), it is so soft on my face, and it really blocks out all the light in the room that may disturb my sleep.
Hand Food Hydrating Hand Cream ($4). It makes my skin feel super smooth, and it has a delicious scent (Shea Butter, Macadamia Oil, and Marshmallow…who knew?!)
Batiste Dry Shampoo ($3.99) This is definitely recommended for flights. My hair always feels so oily and dirty after international flights, especially overnight flights.
Ralph Lauren Polo Red ($25) Yes, it is the mini travel size, and it is within the TSA standards for your 3-1-1 baggie. (1 qt size baggie, 1 per person, 3 fl. oz. or under only)
Tarte Lip Surgence Lip Creme ($24) Believe me…it is incredible.
Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm ($16) I have not tried this one yet, but I plan to very soon.
The flight is long, and I for one choose not step onto a plane nice and clean and walk off feeling disgusting and swamp-like. My mom has recommended to me that I shower and relax as soon as we get to the hotel room. This way we feel refreshed enough to actually explore some of Prague.
Next week is Thanksgiving week! I cannot believe how quickly time flies by. Two weeks after that, I am getting on a plane to Prague. I am nervous, but I cannot let my nerves stop me from enjoying life.
